blown sub maybe? help me!!!! L7

i wanted to ask you guys how can u tell if ur sub its blown,voice coil blown,or anything like that. cuz my sub is messin up a little i think its the connection though cuz it goes on and off and then when i mess with it like the box it goes back on....but not the same bass as it use to, its still loud but ya help it out peace..........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif :crying: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif :crying:

 
Get a DMM (digital multimeter) and check the resistance on the voice coil(s).

If they are considerably off of the nominal resistance they are supposed to present then it's likely your subs are toast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

 
Remove the sub from the box and make sure all speaker wires are secure. Also, double check all of the connections to the amp.

If that doesn't work... Hopefully it's not the sub at all, and your ground wire is loose, and is turing the amp on and off...

See if the ground wire is loose.
