Blown Fuse

My friend is having some issues with fuses. He's blown 4 fuses within 5 minutes, every time he puts in a new one. He said it blows when it only turned the volume to 5, which isn't that loud. Anyone has any suggestion the problem could be?

Also, the fuses he put in was 10 amp, 20 amp, and a 40 amp fuses.

same thing happening to me right now, i didnt use 5 fuses though, check channel wiring on amp, thats what i think mine is

Fuse is for the power wire going to the battery from amp.

try using a little bigger fuse i hooked up a ddm1 and had the same problrm

Not exact sure what amp but it's a pretty old fosgate amp. Those black ones and pushing out no more then 300 watts i bet. Wire is probably 8 gauage.

look at the fused on the amp. whatever they add up to (like if you have 2 20a fuses it would be 40a, 2 30a it would be 60, etc) and fuse 10 amps higher than that

those old fosgate amps usually do pretty good power, their rms and then some

at least the older bd series did (not the 5001bd, the 500bd's)
