Blowing Memory Fuse

Today when I was setting the gains on my new system I had my alpine cda-9831 set to volume 27/35. I have my speakers for now hooked up to the headunit. They start to distort around 22. Maybe not enough power? Anyways I was setting the gains and my memory fuse blows out. Everytime it blows. I put the display in blackout mode and everything. What should I do? Thanks.

The constant power wire (memory) is also the main power wire for the head unit. The red wire works more or less like an amp turn-on; not much current goes through it, in an aftermarket head unit. So if your head unit's amp is working hard it draws more current through the memory wire. Which fuse is blowing; the vehicle fuse or the head unit fuse? And what's it rated at?
