blew one sub today

well I get out of class and start my car up ready to hear some tunes. I start moving and turn uo the volume a wee bit all of a sudden it gets real quiet and then i hear a buzzing. I pull into my driveway to check it out and see that my cone has come unglued fomr the surrounding rubber. I drive to the place where I bought it. Since my sub was last years model they say they have to wait for the rep. that comes in for the company. This is sony....explode. So I say ok i can use one sub for now. They say they will hopefully replace it or be able to credit me. Now if they can credit me im looking for 2 new 12's then. Something preferably for some good sound quality but more spl is wanted. About 400 to 500 pricerange. maybe aroun 400-600rms.

What kind of amp & box do you have? Then I can make a few suggestions...
