Blew my subs today

why the **** my inside speakers dont work if there just ran off the HU..i can care less about the subs i just buy a 15 in 2 weeks

sub pre out was on max i think i might of had it on to high

With alpine headunits especially, you get max pre-out voltage when the sub control is maxed. As long as you properly set your gains with that sub-control maxed, you would have been good.

whats an amp setting in smell like? today was the first day bumpin my new amp, after a few minutes of a pretty good pounding id get a smell, its not letting go, components working in? after bumpin for a few, turn it down and let it cool off, it didnt smell anymore.

any errors on the headunit?? might have blown the internal amp but nothing shoulda caused that to happen

no idk it might not be thats a worse case scenario..check wiring and everything if not take it to a reputable dealer or well audio educated friend and let him look at it

nah im not gonna give up..i cant live wit out bass but wats bothering me now i have no sound but the radio comes on and everthing

its just crazy u dont even have to play ur subs loud and this happens..ohwell i learned from my mistake..but the reason why i had it on 3/4 way on gains because i did my research on here and most people with hifonics u can set ur gains high but i guess its all lies
