Start off with an empty space and 2 rolls of tape.

My plan to secure the box in place.

There will be a strip of flat stock metal built into the floor of the box. This piece pictured will bolt to the cargo tie down bolt under the carpet and have studs off it. You will be able to sit the box down and bolt it on and that should hold it in place. I hope.

Nice start //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BTW lovin' the custom steering wheel in your avatar... I was thinking of doing something similar for a backup camera... but my airbag is located there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Start laying down some mat. I did 3 layers before I added the metal brace. The 1 layer over it to secure it in place for reinforcement.

Here is a pic with 4 layers of mat down and the strip of flat stock added in and about to be reinforced.

Use to be an airbag there.

I did all this yesterday in about 4 hours. And about 2 of them was prep work.

I would have done the face and rings, but it was a cooler day, in the low 70's, (ahhhh FL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif), so the resin cured slower as I added amounts for nornal heat.

And I was also doing a trim panel with an 8" touch screen installed.

Looking good man. Great work so far.

What did you use as a release agent?

It's also in the low 70's in Ohio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

Did a couple things.

Here is that bracket all welded up with studs.

And I drilled out the mounting holes in the box bottom. The bottom is quite thick and strong.
