blaupunkt help!

i got a blaupunkt bpv 655 installed and the cd player wont work. the radio is fine, but when i go to put in a cd it says "load" and then i get a E-5 error which i know means to eject the disc. the problem is that it doen't eject the disc, in fact it won't even play a cd. it doesn't "grab" the cd like a slot loading cd player normally would. i have to pull the unit out and tap it a few times on the side and the cd will come out. the unit is used so i can't return it. i desperately want to use the cd player and i'd like to try to fix it myself if at all possible. can someone help me??

CD mechanism going bad... that's too bad man I have no sugguestion on how to fix that yourself, taking it to get it repaired would cost you more then it's worth most likely...
