Ok I've heard excellent things about these tweeters. Most say they are harsh at first, but after about 10-12 hours of break in time they sound amazing.

I'm going active this week, and for $20, I figured they couldn't be beat.

1" silk dome

And supposedly they are built in the same build house as Rainbow tweets.

Just got them today, and the build quality/mounting options is unreal in this price range. They are as solid, if not more, than the tweets that came with my 720PRS component set.

Just looking for thoughts/opinions before I get everything installed.

Come on Knu, where is my speaker wire!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

I currently have a set running active off a Orion 4002. Hands down, one of the best purchases I have made in a very long time. Tweeters are a lil bright at first, but still sound good. But, after the break in, they really settle into their sweet spot.

Honestly, for what a few bucks more than a pizeo tweeter, lol, you can pick up these beauties and be in active bliss.

those are sensitive mofos, too

I installed a pair for a buddy powered off a cda-9835 hu and it's more than enough. We actually had to attenuate the tweets -6dB on the xover

That's what I wanted to hear. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

x2, im selling the Orion now to get something smaller to push them with. I literaly have the gain all the way down on the amp and maybe half way on my Memphis crossover.

Nice tweeters for the price though...

I should have picked up a set. I guess I'll have to watch the classifieds. I also wish I grabbed some of the SPX-PRO17 tweets from PAC parts... blown opportunities.

nice for the price. they need to be off axis though if you don't want ear bleeding. Also, they take a long time to break in, but they seem to keep sounding better. Very detailed and very "dry" sounding if that makes sense.
