well a little progress ive got done so far today...

do to the length of the aeros for the tuning i want, the box has to sit about 8-10" from the back of the trunk.

this is how i was able to achieve an 18" height thor.

i will have more pics soon explaining why i had to have it this far back

little more progress from yesterday....

i now have the bottom, left, right, and back on. glue is drying. its very hard to fit clamps in there but im trying.

installing the comp amp, 100 x 4 @ 4 ohms, very small footprint

j/k, stock monsoon...

this has helped me a ton on this build, ecspecially with all the tight spaces....

what kind of alt are your running? and how much did it cost you? im thinking about going with mechman, i really like his products but im tight on a budget....

http://www.highoutputalternator.com I bought mine 2yrs ago (almost) 220amp 170+ at idle. 325.00 shipped. At the time mine was the first they had made for an 06 GP.

what kind of drop do you get on your 5k? and what does your electrical consist of?

With a single 5k at 1ohm I hardly ever saw anything less than 13.8. At .5ohm 12.8-13.2 average.

At that time I had 1 Optima Yellow and 1 Kinetik 2400 with 2 runs of 0, 0 big 3.

Most of the time my front batt reads 15.3-15.5 back batt 15.1-15.3 and 14.9 at the amp.

Only time i ever questioned my alt was in the dead of winter at 10 below. The bish don't like it that cold. LOL

With 2 5k's strapped at 2 ohm and a 2nd Kinetik 2400 (with 2 runs linking the batts) I hardly see drops below 13.2.

heres a couple more pics.

i decided to install my voltmeter as i do not trust the one in my car or on my 800prs. this was a very time consuming project as i didnt have the tools i needed, so i had to make due with what i had. here is the final outcome of it

little more on the box, my router took a shit so i could not get the front/double baffle cutout. hoping to pick up a new one this week from harbor freight. i dont use it enough to buy a nice one, figure a cheap one will work.

and while all the glue was drying, decided to wire up the g/f's new deck. nothin special just something new for her. no other pics though. sorry guys

thanks man, i like it alot. only problem is it gets a little hard to read when the sun hits it right, but i will be getting the windows tinted soon so it hopefully shouldnt be a problem then.

welll the HO alt has been ordered. im getting a 250 amp rhino series from mechman, rated at 150+ @ idle. will know more once i get the birthsheet.

should have the front baffles on this weekend, and starting on the flase floor, then mouting the amps, and getting it wired up.

wait for the alt to get in, install it, and let err rip...

I hooked my PRS directly to the battery. Meter reads exact as the DMM! (MAC Tools)

got it almost done, box still needs to be caulked.

it is all in, just gotta start and finish the false floor, install sub, aero's, and sub amp. then im good to go.

as far as the box build, its done...
