well if i wanna run this 18, i figured out im just gonna have to build the box in the trunk.

i made a fairly big mistake trying to make this one fit in there, and now i have a major problem with my trunk.

im hopin its not gonna cost to much to fix (im hoping around 150$), but i learned my lesson, and just for the records, i only tried to make it fit because it was so close and it was my car. i would never do something of this calibur on someone elses ride.

but you live and you learn...

i was really hoping to have it done by this weekend, so i could make it to a show in jackson but its not gonna happen. im hoping maybe another 2 weeks, but we will see.

well there was a problem, i wasnt able to get the box in....i was puttin it in, and had to bend a couple things to get it in, a piece broke and my trunk is now leaking water.
had to take everything out, so none of it got wet, and its goin in the body shop monday. and my trunk now will not shut right as some is messed up with my rear bumper not being in place, i think it might have gotten hit by something in a parking lot but im not sure as there are no real markings on it.

all in all, its just another set back.

you can see how i need just a little more room.

i actually got it to sit down lower but didnt get pics. so once i get all my leaks fixed and get my trunk to shut, i will be rebuilding the same box but in the trunk.

the box will fit in the trunk, only problem is putting it in the trunk. so that is why i will be building it in the trunk now.

hoping to get it cut this weekend.

this was basically going to be a test box, as i have never used aeros before. if i liked it, and it fit, i was going to build a new box in MDF, either way i got a new one coming

My box hieght with the false floor is 15.75in. You may not be able to go larger than 16-16.5in tall and that (imo)is pushing it.

I bet you could lay that box on its back and fire it up. Just an idea.

yes, i realize that. but your box is also in a different position then mine will be, which will raise my max height a little more.

you will see once i get it done.

Your trying for sealed forward behind the b-pillar right? That would be the same place mine is currently.

due to the length of my aero's i am unable to do it fully sealed behind the b-pillar. it will be a little further back in the trunk then yours. i have already test fitted everything and it will fit, i just have to build it in the trunk as my box will not squeeze in through the trunk as it is too deep.

i do appreciate the help though, but i think it will be easily explained once i get it built and all installed.

well i just got my car back from the shop, everything is back to normal. should have this weekend off, if so, box is getting built (in the trunk)!!!

there will hopefully be many pics along the way

well so you guys know, the new pieces are cut. got the next 2 days off. new bottle of titebond 2 wood glue along with some more caulk, also picked up more screws that i will need.

headin out to the garage right now. hopefully pics later.
