So I take it you are going sealed? I would suggest a 12" SI Mag the new version v4, which runs about 250 shipped IIRC and would sound killer in a truck and calls for nothing but a sealed box and very small dimensions. I would check them out and get at least a 600rms amp to push it, although it is a 1000rms sub, but very effecient.

If not, those Kicker CVT's should do well, and heard good reviews on the shallow mounts for the Pioneers. There are a couple people that run the Pioneers on here. Hit up member Ken448 off here as he runs those and last I remembered, he really liked how they sounded, and his has to keep up with his loud *** engine, lol!

I am not looking at spending a HUGE load of cash and I don't need a huge 1000watt system for my single cab...

just keep that in mind... but I don't mind if you share your thoughts

I had two 12" CVR's in my old dodge and it got pretty loud for each sub bein in a .75 cube box. Had them runnin off a zx750. I'd try for a bit better sub than the mtx's and a bigger amp too

i will be runnin a dd 1010 in my single cab with about 600 rms to it. ported at 1.5 cu ft

I went ahead and ordered those MTX 10s, if I dont like them I could always get something else.

I went with the MTX JackHammer Amp (JH300)

I talked to a few people that run a similar setup and said it should be enough for my single cab. ... Time will only tell...

I will post pix when I get it all installed
