Thats it for now, more later on

just a tip. you need to stretch the fleece tighter or you will get sagging like the center area of your console and you will have to use tons of filler to get it smooth again. you are also using too much resin, less resin more fiberglass or it will be brittle and hard to sand. and lastly, your best bet is to use a router and take a small 1\4" notch out of the edge where your glass connects to the console. then use a staple gun to staple the fleece down after you stretch it as hard as possible.

obviously you went past that part already and you are kind of stuck with extra work cutting off all that fleece and tons of extra sanding, but next time maybe it will help. not trying to be a jerk or anything - because this is a tough project, so good luck!

if your fiberglass looks dark brown - then you have too much resin. your goal is to make it as white as possible, the less resin you use, the better off you are.

this is depending on wat material you are using...if your using fleece you have to use alot because it absorbs so much

Actually there was no sagging, it was puleld as tight as possiable on the sides, then pulled on the bottom until I got the shape I wanted, which was that.

Also the darker the resin, the more hardner used. Yes, a lot of resin will crack, the top of it isn't overloaded with resin, just the underside. The fleece was stapled to the sides, once I pull the staples I use an air grinder to grind everything down smooth. Takes it all of 15min to get correctly.

Chances are I will be wrapping it, so I am not worried much about extra prep, paint prep that is.

Its a bad angle taken with my camera phone, its sloped a little, when you put your arm on, its soooo comfrtable bc of the slope it puts your wrist it.

And I am probally going to go, got some tricks up my sleeve, should be a lot louder and hopefully won't go through as many woofers.

Im just waiting on some stuff to go through.

You going down the day before and getting a hotel or what?

im driving down early sunday morning. imma leave about 5 a.m so i can get there about 730 a.m and set my tent up and kick back before it gets crowded

I might do that, my GF wants to grab a hotel and get drunk while we are down there so idk yet. If I don't get this top secret stuff done, then I might still go, but in her car, I get shit for gas mileage.

But there's a pretty good chance if it doesn't get done, I won't go.
