Black Silverado MILD build

I have a 2003 single cab Silverado...

OLD PICTuRE

I started with the stock setup and a Jensen deck and really didn't like the way it sounded... at all.

I recently picked up a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693 and 6.5" Infinitys for the doors and 4x6"s for the back panels....

....AND A LOT OF DYNOMAT

I am really starting to like the sound but the bass is just not hitting hard enough and I LOVE BASS.

I don't want to go over kill (mild build as it is) I want subs for the back behind the seats.

I have been looking into building my own box for duel 10" subs, I have experience in building boxes so I think I shouldn't have a problem with it. (I am starting the box build this weekend and will post pix of the progress)

BUT WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN THIS BOX...?

I have look into cheaper options, such as:

Kenwoods duel 10" PARTY PACK with 350watt amp

But don't know if that is worth it, I was hoping to find a good review but after searching high and low the internet has seemed to fail me.

I also looking into the Shallow 10" kickers with a kicker amp

but I think the cost will be almost double

I didn't take any pictures of the install... but I guess for build sakes I should have.

I will get pictures of this weekends work, finalizing the dynomatting and build of the sub box

And kill your resale value.

Look at some IDQv2 10s, they are excellent sounding drivers for the price.

If you want cheap, look for used stuff in the classifieds.

kenwood Excelon has some pretty good shallow drivers. Do like 2 12's and you'll be straight.

one of my friends has two of the shallow mount kicker CVT's under the back seat in his f150 and i was really suprised at how good they sounded for shallow mounts

I just helped a buddy install his amp and 10" kicker CVT yesterday in his single cab S-10. There is next to no room in that single cab behind the seat and yet that sub fits in there perfect. It actually sounded surprisingly well for a single 10", especially for being a shallow mount in such a small enclosure. Either way, I'm sure that silverado has a bit more room back there, maybe two shallow mounts behind each seat would fit, and that would slam for a tiny little cab like that.

I am currently looking at these MTX Thunder4500 T4510-04....

The price is hard to match and I have read a lot of good reviews

not a shallow mount but dont think i need a shallow mount to make it work.

I have it mostly all drawn out but I still need to measure the top and the bottom distances again.
