bit rate of mp3's and wav files, which do you prefer?

VBR via the Ubernet standard FTW. Best sounding MP3s I've ever heard.

x2. When I rip from CD's I put it on VBR and 320. Set it to highest quality. 500gb of HD space FTW.

It just depends on what application you're using the music for. I burn onto a CD-R for my car so it has to have a little compression.
