Biggest battery that can fit in a blazer

Yep.....need a new battery for front asap. Problem, I don't really know what I can fit. and I don't want to buy something that can't fit then have to return it and whatnot. I just want to be sure about all of this. I was thinking mainly kinetik 1400, 1800.

Hopefully the blazer owners can help me out.

It's a 2001 2 door, 2 WD blazer if that helps any.

i have an optima RT in mine.it almost doesnt want to fit but it squeezes in there.

I was hoping to go the kinetik way but if I can't, oh well.

Which RT do you have?

I did Joe! But i'm not too sure about the height, I think i'm able to put 9~10 inches of height in there but i'm not 100% sure that my hood will still close.

I would say that you could get the Kinetiks to fit, but you might have to put them on their side. It is safe to do that and your posts would be on the side instead of the top. You could probably fit a bigger battery in there that way.

Oh ok, then that means a kinetik will fit.

Here's a question.....I'm planning on running around 2000 watts.

Should I just get a kinetik 800 or something then run a big battery in the back for my system?

If you are going with a dual battery setup, it is best to have matching batteries. That does not mean that mismatched batteries will not work, but they will have a shortened lifespan because of the mismatch. I would recommend dual HC1400 if you wanted to go with dual Kinetiks.

As for cheaper alternatives, the Deka brand seems to be a pretty good value. There are others here that run them and like them, but I have also started hearing people bashing them lately, so I am not really sure. They are very inexpensive and seem like a great deal based on the specs. But since I have never owned one (I have a Kinetik) I can't say for sure.
