bigger alternator or kinetik power cell

Ok heres the run down, i jus came back from out of town and i was at a car show whcih was held at a car audio shop in marrieta, georgia. I was speaking to one of the salesman about getting an alternator for my car, he said he can get them, but i can also instead of replacing my alternator, get rid of my second optima battery in the trunk and get one of the kinetik power cells. He then went on talking about the good things about this power cell, it seemed pretty interesting by what he was telling me. What you guys think i should do, has anyone did this instead of upgrading the alternator. I believe he suggested either the 2000 or 2400 kinetic powercell.

By the way this guy says he set a world record in spl for a single 12" sub. He said he hit 160.x wit a single treo sub the more top of the line.

seriously a battery does not compensate for a weak alt. when your engine is running, everything is running off your alt. your battery should never be drained when the engine is running.

new alt, THEN new battery.

and unless you are selling your yellowtops to make the cash for the 2400 there is no real point. the HC2400 does about 2400 Cold Cranking Amps, and the yellowtops do about 750 cold cranking amps. regardless, you wotn be able to charge them with a crappy alternator.

unless you plan on running your stereo for a few minutes, then turning it off and letting your batteries charge backup, then playing it for another few minutes.

get a nice 250~300 amp alt and then decided if you need a kinetik. you will see the same benifits from one HC2400 as you would from three yellowtops, just with less space used up.

i have a 240amp iraggi.....and im running my Orion 2500D @ .5 ohm daily...and i ahve 2 kinetik 2400's...and about 200 ft of 1/0awg.....0 dimmage.
