big three question?

ok so i have a question about my eletrical system i have a high output alty put away that im saving for but it will be a while till i get it so i was wondering if i could go ahead and do my big three upgrade with with a stock alternator so i want have as bad of voltage drop and my car will actually start without me having to jumpstart it?? i have a 1993 plymouth acclaim if that helps and a everstart maxx battery

Big 3 can be done at pretty much anytime, will help with voltage drops. Make sure you have solid connections, sand paint off any grounding points, make sure the ground goes to the frame etc.

thanks man one more question do you have to use 1/0 wire when doing the big three or is that just because it give the best current flow?

You can use 4 gauge, I would use 1/0 it can be bought for pretty cheap on knukonceptz.com and you will see the best results. No use in doing it twice if you ever wanna go bigger.

15 ft should be more than enough for a big three. make sure to replace your battery with an agm instead of less acid. also don't play your system with the car off bro.

AGM = absorbed glass mat...like Kinetik, Powermaster, etc. and do not need to be maintained.

lead acid = standard car batteries that can leak fumes and such and need to be maintained.
