Well I just hooked up my new infinity speakers, but after getting them all hooked up and good to go. I found out that I cant turn my radio up very high without my subs cutting out. I dont know what the problem is, for now I just turned down the amp so I can still turn up the radio. I need to know what to do to fix this problem.

Also another problem that I have is that my main power wire going from the radio to the amp has to barely be put in the hole on both sides or else the subs don't work at all.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated, if you need more details just leave a message and I will try to do what I can.

Thanks again in advance for any help.

When you say the subs are cutting out, do you mean the amp shuts off or that the subs stop working?

Also, please don't tell me your amp's power supply is running off the radio and not the battery?

what the hell does this sentence mean?

main power wire from the radio? A:it's not the main power it's spose to be ONLY remote wire.

put in the hole on both sides? A:both sides of what?

So the turn on wire doesn't have a good connection.. I believe that is what he is referring to as his main power wire. And sometimes the wire given for that use is a POS, if he bought a cheap wiring kit.

Sorry I don't know much about car audio which is why I am coming here in the first place. When I say my subs cut out I mean that when I turn on my radio the subs just completely stop working. I don't believe its the amp. This all started happening after I put in my new speakers, before that the subs worked great.

The positive wire running from my radio to my subs/amp can only be plugged in barely on both sides for it to work so its really easy for the wire to shake out while I am driving.

Sorry again for not knowing much but coming in here telling me to give up on car audio doesn't help anyone. I know I am new at this, but please just try to help instead of just telling me to give up on car audio forever.

did not you just read what anybody in here wrote? explain how you set your amp up. there should be 1 main power wire from your batt. to the 12v on your amp. there should be 1 remote wire from the back of you radio blue wire going to the remote input on the amp. then your ground wire from the amp to the body of the car. is this what you did or not?

Just ignore the jerks on here, they're losers in RL and get their jollies acting tough on the internet.

As for your problem, does the wire that's falling out at the amp have an 0-ring terminal on it or just the bare wire? If it's just the bare wire, and your amp has screws to hold the wires in place, try putting an O-ring terminal on the wire before screwing it down, then it can't fall out.

Also these new speakers that you put in, did you wire them yourself? If so did you remove the deck to install them or are they running through an amp? Reason I'm asking is you say everything worked fine before, which means something you did during the install of your new speakers caused the problem.

Yes everything is hooked up as u just said outofmyhead.

The wire that's falling out isn't a bare wire or a wire that has a o-ring terminal on it. Its a plug that u plug in, not screw down. The problem is at both sides, near the radio and the subs.

The speakers aren't ran through the amp, which is why I don't understand why the subs worked great before but not now.

ok so if it's a plug, then you're makeing it sound as if it's your rca's not the remote wire. remote wire (blue) isn't plug into anything it's just wire, strip the ends, twist together and elec. tape. rca's are the red and white plug wires. you're saying they don't work when plugged in all the way? are these wires new? if not go buy new ones. these should not ever have a problem. you shouldn't have to barely plug em in for them to work. the more you plug them in the better they actually work is how it goes.

That's why I asked if you installed the new speakers yourself?

Did you remove the deck to install the new speakers or did you just replace the old speakers and use the same speaker line?

Reason I ask is if you pulled the deck out to install the new speakers there's a possibility that either something got loose or if you didn't disconnect the power you may have grounded something out.

I used the same speaker line when I put the new speakers in, I will check it out later and see if something got loose in it. Thanks for all the help guys.
