BIG! License Plate rattle

Hey guys,

I deadned my trunk with second skin, but my license plate rattles like hell! The trunk lid is perfect, but any tips on stopping the rattle of the lisence plate. I am thinking of taking off the cover and screwing it in tighter but there are no screws at the bottom. I tried searching and all i could find was putting a cloth under the plate. Any easy ways to elimante the majority of license plate rattle?!?

Put screws in the bottom holes thats probably why its making so much sound

theres no holes in the bottom of the car tho :S cuz theres a cover from the dealership

So there are not holes below the dealer plate? Take off the dealer plate, the less you have there the less noise it can make.

the solution is real easy and cheap just take off the license plate line the back of the plate with rubberized weather stripping also put a strip down the center . reinstall plate and call it a day .ohh and the dealer cover might still rattle see if it covers enough of the edge of the plate to put a small thin strip of weather stripping on it if not then just leave the dealer plate off.

cardboard ftw! Thats what i would do. Fold it over if you have to make it thicker, it may fall out after time but its not like it will cost alot to replace. Ill ship you a cardboard box if you dont have one, you pay shipping.

I put some dynamat extreme on the back of the plate and NO MORE PLATE RATTLE!!!

i have this stuff from my dads work.. its like chewed gum that always holds its sticky.. never gets hard

i put a lil ball of it in each corner and in the middle of my sisters plate.. and no more rattle

goto a hardware store and get 4 rubber grommets and 2 more screws

cardbored = cheap fix.

i used little rubber squares from hardware store, and put some screws in it.

for like 6 bucks.

when i had this problem i used 4 small rubber lego wheels and it worked great. i also only had 2 screw holes.
