Doubling up walls is NOT as strong as properly placed bracing. I've built HT boxes both ways and have seen flexing in big boxes with double walls and no internal bracing. Also I needed to eat up some internal volume.very nice finishing job. i am not a fan of your bracing techniques. i would have just double layered it.

He used tan colored fleckstone and then clear coated it.VERY clean box, i like that finish , what is it?
if your chasing tenths, even doubling up can hurt the score. and certain bracing can and will hurt a score, but if your not chasing tenths, your ear will never know. i've never seen bracing or doubling, or lack of, affect output to the point one could hear the difference. i've seen it on a mic, but have never heard it by ear.Doubling up walls is NOT as strong as properly placed bracing. I've seen the posts/speculation on bracing hurting airflow, but until someone does a valid test proving it hurts SPL, especially for a daily box, then I'll keep building them this way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
