I need to build a box for 4 orion HCCAs 12s. problem being i drive a chevy cavalier. which isnt very romey There is no back seats. any one have a cavalier or similar car that they have built a big box in.i need 8+ c/f box. and im not sure how to accomplish this in this car.i have some access into the trunk..But the shape of the car and the heights arent very tall. i need some advice on how to get a box this big fit in a cavalier. And what the actuall size should be. Any help appreciated.im not a novice box builder..ive built many but this will require a special built box to fit..thanks for any suggestions..

go from the back seat into the trunk and mount the subs in the car, since you cant wall it you chances of pulling it off are looking slim[/quotei think i can but will take some work and an odd shaped box..what would the difference be in building a wall.and doest that still require a box..i may just say ta hell with ny laws.how does a wall work.Thanks..

Just do do a box that is even with the rear deck and have it go into the trunk through the opening to get a little more air space. You should get more then enough space that way and it will give you a decent amount of surface area on the front of the box to figure out a mounting design for 4 12s. You should have enough room to do a decent sized ported enclosure.

This is what i was thinking i could do.as you said build the box but use the opening to trunk to add extra box space.it would be almost a T shape. Then figure out how to calculate the volume on that shaped box.which ive never did..lol

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
