I'm running a pair of eD 13ov.2 D4s (bought during the sale) and some eD 6000s component speakers. They are being run off of a JBL BP1200.1 amp and a kicker kx600.4 amp. I've got a stock alternator (70 amps I believe but it may be 80) and I don't really want to spend $300 to get a new HO alternator for my 1995 toyota corolla that I'm only planning on driving for the next 2 or 3 years.
I just want to confirm my list of equipment to buy :
(10-12 ft) 0 gauge Kolossus Kable wire (haven't measured yet but I will)
(6) 0 gauge crimps
I won't need a battery terminal for this correct?
For the new battery I was thinking of throwing a Kinetik 800 in the back since space is limited.
For this I was thinking of using a pair battery terminal such as http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KBT-30N one so that I can ground my amps to the battery and another to connect the power wires. The battery will be connected via a 0 gauge knukonceptz kolossus kable run from my starter battery.
Would I be better off using my distribution block for connecting the amps to the secondary battery? This way I don't need to buy new fuses or anything? Or will this negate some of the benefits of running a second battery?
