Big 3 setup

thank you some one gets it
Electronic Engineering Major //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Electricity and how it flows is amazing i love reading and studying about it.

But that still doent equate. You can control the flow in that situation. You cant control a alternator. Its going to do what its designed for, no more no less.Maybe I need to study up on the opertain factors of the alternator.
No you cannot control traffic in my situation, You keep inserting external variables, You cannot control the Alternater but you can control how much electricity you let flow through the wires to the battery.

So how much will someone like me really benefit from the big 3.
04 Mountaineer primer 4.6 v8.

3 12" subs on a 1250 class D amp (hit 146DB in the trunk of a stratus R/T) a stock 8" and small amp.

A stock dvd player and a head unit something like the one I posted above.
Well it will help a bit idk about how much as i do not have mine done and im running around 1300 rms, but it will more than likely stablize your wattage while playing, reducing or eliminating the head light dimming and major voltage drops.

Sorry, I love variables.. I think I got it BUT if you match your cable up to the maximum amperage it makes, isnt take the best it gets?

Well yeah ideally yes but what if you want upgrade to a bigger system later on down the line? wouldn't you save yourself the trouble of removing your old work and just put in somthing that will be there when you need it to be already? The price of wire is not gonna be that much higher, spend 20-30$ extra now can save you a little more down the line.

Ok so after reading through this explanation / confusion. I understand both sides. I think where Haze is confused is the fact that with the alternator not being upgraded it can only do so much regardless of the wires used. Yes for a period of time it will recharge the battery faster, but for how long before it fries itself out? And using the rush hour traffic analogy, if there is a traffic jam and two lanes are added on each side but the cars can only go 30mph then those other 4 lanes are only so affective for getting out of rush hour traffic am i correct? Im not saying that anyone is wrong, im simply trying to help everyone understand where hazes confusion is.

Was i correct that thats what you were confused about Haze?

I like to think of all of this like water pipes. Think of amperage like the flow of the water how much is flowing through. Think of voltage like water pressure, how much force energy it can exert. Now immaging you have smaller/larger piping. A larger pipe allows for more flow I.E. a larger wire allows for more amps to flow through it.

Ok well imagine the water pump as being the alternator. If its only designed to pump say 100g/hr then regardless of the size of pipes it will only flow 100g/hr.

Thats correct but with an un upgrade alternator your only going to get so fast but your analogy is a correct look i do believe.
