Big 3 Questions

hey guys i drive a 1990 maxima and i am thinking of doing the big 3 this weekend but i have a couple precautionary questions. i just watched the big 3 tutorial from maxxsonic and i was wondering when i run the 0 ga. from the alt. to the battery do i need to leave the stock connection or do i need to trace that whole wire back and remove it? and with the chassis ground about 6 inches down on the ground wire there it is bolted bown under my battery tray and then continues to the engine block is the bolted down part in the middle my "chassis ground?" because if so i will just run it to the strut tower like in the video. any suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks!

You can remove the stock connection..but if its part of the harness and don't want to mess with removing it.. you can tape it up or make sure it is securely covered so you don't worry about it touching the alt, also unhook from battery end. Run the 0 gauge from alternator to battery and affix to your terminal. Also on the ground chassis, don't know this car so I cant offer an opinion..but just make sure if your replacing the chassis wire you get a good clean connection. (scrape paint off etc)

If i was you i wouldnt remove any stock wires... The big 3 is spose to "add" wires not replace them.
I removed all the wires after upgrading big 3 to 0 gauge on my civic..those wires are puny on imports! fyi, particularly on the Maxxsonics demo he doesn't even connect the stock wire backup to the alt.

hahaha every wire on every one of my nissans ive ever owned has been puny but i only ask because the wire running from the alt to the battery is split loomed and ran up above the radiator and unlooming it and removing it wouldn't be fun lol so i can either tape it off or just add to it then?

can anyone help me out with the chassis ground though is it the one connected to the middle of the ground wire going to the block i will try and get a pic up to get a better idea of what im talking about
