Bolt circled a valid point for ground? All the other bolts would be pretty hard to get to

Circle on left, O-kay to ground there?

take it that's the positive, looks like a bolt when I take off the rubber sleeve. There's like this plastic thing that I can't seem to budge off, I have no idea how I'll be able to get the ring terminal in there with that plastic thing there. Also, the stock run goes around and under the tube looking things (cylinders?), it looks like it'll be a ***** to take the stock run out. It looks hard enough to run a new wire there, Have no idea how i'll take it out

Knu KLM 4ga side by side with stock, what looks like 8ga

Hmm maybe not worth the time and effort to switch to 4awg then. I'll still change the battery negative to chassis one just because I have the wire cut already, and probably add the alt to ground too

Would the the bolts by where the strut bar ends be good if I sanded/scraped to shiny metal?

just ground somewhere on the engine. that bolt you want to ground the alt at looks like it holds down a hose and using those bolts are a no no. I just ground the engine block for the big 3 and that works fine (since the alternator case is grounded along with the engine's)

those aren't appropiate locations for a ground that you pointed out. just look for the stock engine ground to chassis. it should look like a braided wire. and just place new wire in that same location.

that plastic peice on the alt won't come off unless if you break it off(which you shouldn't), just put some washers in there to accomodate the space.

make sure you unplug the battery before you do anything.

werd, i ****ed up, i cut off the batter clamp, so in the mean time, i have a platinum hooker terminal screwed on so it can attach to the battery terminal. same thing with the ground, but i am replacing all the stock grounds with kicker 0 gauge, so no biggie.

what terms are those >? both wire and battery.

what terms are those >? both wire and battery.
the battery terminals are the monster 3000 series, and the wire terminals are hooker platinum 0 gauge screw ons. but i think there too much for my application, things are massive, might end up selling them, not sure.S

The **** partsexpress negative battery terminal wouldn't fit my **** knu 0ga ring, even though they advertised as it would fit.

so I just added onto my stock on the same bolt (don't have a drill or self-tapping screws), since i had no other way to connect the 0ga to battery without the stock battery terminal, and it worked i guess. it looks kind of ghetto, probably gonna pick up a new battery terminal when i have the extra cash. also looking to get a optima yellow on my next paycheck

but anywho, doing this, i went from 12.0v idle to 12.6v idle
