Big 3 question (not a stupid one)

Is it bad to run 0ga from the alt to the battery with no fuse in between? As in will it do any damage? I just finished redoing all of it last night with all matching wire and currently it isnt fused.

I spent a while trying to find out what the best was, and I always got different answers. But i decided to be safe instead of maybe sorry one day and fused it with a 300amp anl. I'm running some POS HO alt that I have my doubts about, so the fuse definitely helps for peace of mind.

I did, however, run my HO alt with the big three done without a fuse for several months and it was fine..

Right now im just running stock alt but have a KHC-1200 under the hood and a KHC-1800 in the cargo area.
