Big 3 PLUS Cap .....

I just asked my auto tech instructor about this problem. He said you could just run a separate relay to the alternator's 12v+ exciter wire. Wire the switched 12v+ pin of that relay to something else that turns on with the vehicle. Then connect the constant 12v+ sense wire directly to the output post of the alternator.

Big 3, and a min of one good AGM battery under the hood for up to 1500 watts rms on that chevy truck.5.3 ltr. and 140 amp stock alt.

 
Had the batt and alt tested. Good, except batt needs charging(which would make sense). I put my charger on batt all night. I adj gains last night on my only amp with a recent purchase(SMD DD1). Whether it was unplugging the harness around the neg cable going to engine block or the amp tuned right and not pushing as hard, my lights didnt dim as much last night, but they did still dim. After a full charge, Ill see what happens now. I want to thank everyone that has replied and if you have any more suggestions, I am eager to try them.
