Big 3 in the neon...

Well i am wanting to do this and i popped the hood on my neon and there are like a couple differnt wires coming from the alternator to the battery and i am confused. Do i just take the biggest one there is and replace that one with 1/0 wire? Also will i need a fuse? So far do i only need 10ft of 1/0 wire, and 6 ring terminal connectors.

2. U dont replace, u ADD. Keep the small wire there and add the 1/0 gaue u have.

3. YES, HIGHLY recommended to fuse unless u want ur car to burn in a short

4. I think u'll need a bit more than 10 ft but thats totally dependant on car.

if i can remember on my neon there was a black wire attached to the alt terminal

why would you need more than 10 feet?

in my accord it looks like i'd only need 3-4ft from alt to battery and less than a foot for the battery to frame as well as the frame to engine block.

Alright i just popped the hood and saw that there are 2 grounds coming from the negative terminal. One to the cars frame and the other one went down to the engine and i couldnt see where it was actually grounded, but would it be grounded to the engine?

Would the battery negative ground itself to the frame and engine? Cause it has 2 lines coming off it, So i wouldnt have a frame to engine ground?

When I did my big 3 on my car I actually did 4 wires. I did pos to alt. Engine to battery, engine to body, body to battery. Might be overkill I don't know.

Hmm....i havent found the engine to body yet, would it be off the same place where the engine to battery comes in? Also why a 250amp fuse? really not quite sure on fuse sizes to please enlighten me. 10ft will be fine right? Also can you guys order anything from them because i get sight errors left and right.

Well i finally had time to take a look at the engine and mine sits sidways so the alternator is sitting down on the left side, also the ONLY wire coming off the battery positive does NOT go to the alternator, it goes in front of the engine(which sits sideways) and connects to something but i dont know what it is, any ideas?

Also, is a fuse absolutely necessary?
