I am using them to mount my 5.25" rainbow slc comps in the doors of my F-250 and the max the adaptor can be is 1/4" thick. There is not that much clearance. I have found some plastic plates. Are they good enough?
I plan on using silicone and screws to adhere the adaptor to the door. I am also sound deadening the entire door. Should I mount the adaptor and put sound deadener around it or sound deaden over it?
