big 3 in stupid terms

Add wire from the positive on the battery to the positive on the alt... from the negative on the battery to any part of the body.... then the engine block to any part of the body.

I thought it was engine block to neg on batt...

lol...see I can learn too.

The sad thing is, I hvae the wire, butI don't wanna cough up the dollars to get some battery terminals that will take the big wire. My stupid things barely hold the stock. But I also have factory 2g wiring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

WRONG u dont replace u just add wire along with the stock wire.
What kind of terminals woudl work good for this? or can you simply use wire with ring terms and just put them on the bolt and nut? would that be sufficient for me not wantint to spend30 bucks a terminal? Somethin is better than nothing?

I'm also not struggling with dimming and I am only running about 900watts total...

I have these terminals http://www.autozone.com/R,2347469/store,1556/shopping/accessoryProductDetail.htm

Could I jsut add wire with a ring terminl on that tightening bolt? Would that be worth my time?

yea just get some 1/0 wire and get ring connecters for the wire and i would say get 8-10 connecters just in case u have an issue with the connecters. as far as the dimming it happens try to change your front battery and get your alt checked at a local auto zone for free. And check your ground on your amp

nah i said i do not have dimming issues.

luckily.

but i just want to get it done while i have the wire layin' around ya know. and to make it more substantial charging system.

thanks for tips...

and for not flamin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if its not broke dont mess with it if u have good voltage no and dont wanna mess with it then dont

but its simple the one ground from your batt to the chassis you should be able to see the stock just connect it to teh same place, bascially just get like 10-15ft of 1/0 wire 6 ring terminals and a waterproof inline fuse holder with fuse like 250-300amp fuse, run a ground wire from your battery to your chassis(firewall) then run a ground from your engine any bolt on your engine that doesnt contain a liquid say something like the bolt that holds your air intake on or something like that i used the bolt that connects my fuel rail to the top of the engine, then just run the other end to your chassis(firewall)

then run a pos from your alt to your battery with inline fuse inbetween very simple, i have done the grounds but not the alt to battery i will take pics tommorow and show you
