big 3 help

doing the big 3 this weekend, and I've already run into an issue, my battery has side posts. i bought a knu battery terminal, but i guess if its side mount it won't even matter. so whats there to do?

Proceed as planed to the best of your ability up grade from alternator to battery with whatever it takes to get that wire upgraded. Do the same with engine and frame ground body to battery.

Have fun and enjoy doing the best you can with it.

There are many different kinds of side post adapters at the auto parts stores and car audio shops.

Side post adapter. Just like the previous poster mentioned. Any auto parts store should carry them. It replaces your stock battery bolt that screws into the side of the battery.

Yep any auto parts store will have one adapter or sorts that gives you alot more options with your terminal. I used a big silver one and was able to fit 1/0 in all the spots and still have it all cranked down nice and tight. I admit, i bought some pre-terminaled and color coded wire from a fellow forum member in here with all 1/0, and just added a 200A fuse for the alternator to battery positive.

So if I get side post adapters do I still need say a knu battery terminal that can accept two runs of 1/0 gauge for big 3 and power to amp?

Nope The sIde post adapter has extender on the other side with a nut/bolt thats used for extra ring terminals.

Would this suffice? Just kind of confused as to what exactly I'm looking for. I feel like this is exactly what I would need because I would then have top posts, however I feel like I would still need a neg and pos knu battery terminal for all the wires. Thanks for the help guys
