Big 3 ford ranger

I've got an S10, so they're fairly similar in size. To be honest, you really don't need much. In my case, I need about:

3 feet for Alternator to Battery

1 foot for Battery to Chassis

2 feet for Chassis to Engine

You can order more to be safe; or just measure it yourself quickly.

haha ight just bought 12 feet of 1/0 from DUMPED last night. should be enough i think! so when you ran your wire from the alternator to battery does it matter where you fuse the line? like as close to the battery as possible?

I did mine a few months ago on my Ranger. It was pretty easy, the only hard part was getting at the + post on the alt and that wasn't even too bad. The wire for the alt to batt was about 8 ft, batt to chasis was less than 2 ft, engine to chasis was about 2 ft as well.

jesus! 8ft! WTF! not even my wire going to my amp is that long! how much of that 8ft is actually needed!

It was 8 ft because it started at the alt which is on the passenger side, then I tied it in with some other wires and wrapped it behind the engine against the firewall and back around to the battery which is on the driver's side. If you're looking at it from the front of the truck it goes in an upside down "U" pattern. But that was purely to keep it away from the engine. If you want to just let it sit on top of everything under your hood it's probably more like 4 ft.
