Big 3 Done, Voltage Drops Still to 9 and Cuts Out

I've been trying to help him, and I'm out of ideas... All I can say is new battery / power cable, although 4 awg ought to be fine for a 300/4 and a 500/1. I just installed a KX600.1 in a 99 Civic with stock electrical, and it hardly dims.

I've already gotten him to do the big 3 and change his grounds, but that didn't seem to help. I'm baffled.

 
just for shits n giggles, disconnect the amps from the powa and check the volts again

im probably leaning more towards just a bad connection somewhere tho

 
there has to something wrong in the wiring or something.

I say, upgrade fuse, upgrade wiring and see where that takes you. if not your going to need a bigger alt. I doubt the battery will do much if your voltage is dropping that significantly. IF your car shuts off due to heavy bass with the big 3, your gonna pretty much need a bigger alt.

Your battery voltage seems fine during idle telling me your battery is find and upgrading wont help much.

upgrade to 1/0 and get a bigger anl fuse and see what happens with that...

 
ok guys here's the video!, sorry for the mess of wires, anyhow you can see the voltage drops, it went to 10, when it is at full tilt it drops to 9. You can hear the music from the car going in and out, music remains playing from the stock tweetrs the car came with since they are still wired, but everything amped goes out which is basically all the speakers.

i think its a faulty fuse...

At first i thought his enitre car turned off but this isnt the case. only his amps shutoff or anything that is powered.

told him to swap a new 150a fuse in to see if that does anything.

 
Have your alt checked....thats the only thing I can think of is that the alt can keep up with the battery keeping it charged but it can't keep up with the increased load from the system.

I bet the regulator or something else is about to go out in the alternator.
