Better value than CVRs?

I'm running (2) Kicker CVR 12's currently. Looking at redoing things and wondering if there is a better "bang for the buck" sub available in roughly the same price range.

The CVR is about $75

Noticed the HiFonics Brutus subs. About the same price at $85

Opinions on the Brutus + recommendations on other subs in this price range.

Dont get 2 $75 subs get one $150 sub.

Type R's are great for the price...but for new subs there more than the CVR's. You might be able to find some used ones for around that price. I just sold mine on craigslist for 150 (for the pair)

I can tell you as an owner of Brutus 12's that they are a great all around performing sub. I had a pair on a BXi2006D and they got plenty loud and could deliver lows quite convincingly. However, I don't think I would recommend them to anyone anymore. Mine only lasted a little over a year before the epoxy that hold the motor structures together came loose and pinched the voicecoil in the gap. Then a call to Maxxsonics and I find that they don't offer ANY kind of repair service on them. So, I'd move on to another brand if I were you.
