Better Upgrade

Hi, the past few days I have been searching endlessly on a new head unit that I wanted to get to hopefully improve SQ. I ended up deciding on the P880PRS. I haven't bought it yet though.

However, today I got to thinking. Would it be a better upgrade to add sound deadening material? It's either $300 for a new head unit with more EQ settings vs. $150 of sound deadening. What would have the most benefit? Right now I have a Pioneer 4900iB and drive a tC.

That's kind of a toss up. The deck will help with SQ giving more tuning options plus the capability to go active. The deadening will help too but if you want it to really make a difference go all the way. Follow the sticky showing you how to deaden and seal your doors.

I have a question for anyone with a 880. Is the AUX input really on the front and only accessible when the face is open?
