Better to power each coil with a channel or both coils by one channel??

Hi, today i talked to a professional installer and he told me that powering my TS-W12PRS DVC sub by a 4 ch amp( bridging each 2 channels to power one coil, and other 2 for the second coil) will give a lot better results than connecting both coils in parallell( it will become 2 ohms) and connecting them to a mono amp. Is it true??? i cant see the logic behind it. Anyone??

If i want to use the 4 ch amp, t he sub is 300rms, so i must send 150rms to every coil, and he says better than sending 300rms to the coils connected in parallel, wierd:S

I wold jus hook it up to the mono because its less stress and your settings would be the same instead of setting the the channels to be the same on the 4ch. WTF was he talkin about. You will get better results out of the mono amp

first runing and 2 seperate amps per vc is hard. U have match the gain and u have to match the crossover points. It would be in ur best intrest to just parallel the speaker and give the amp an mono load.
