well, I am going to get two 12'' type Rs. I was wonderin if I would be better off getting two, rather then one or what? space isnt really a problem, so whatever is cheapest would be best. And im not sure exactly what subs to get the 2ohm or the 4ohm. I know that 2 ohm is better, but is it cheaper?

obviously i know shit about this, so if someone could post some links for something that would be good for these subs, it would be appreciated!

2 ohm isn't better.

Personally - I'd go with dvc 4's - a pair can be wired for 1 ohm which gives you more amp choices than dvc 2's which would give you a 2 ohm load.

As for an amp - check out the hifonics bxi1206d. Just about perfect for those subs, and not that expensive.

You might also look at the Lanzar Optidrive 1400D.

but if you get two dual 2 ohms .. and one amp for each .. then each can be wired to 1 ohm providing you have two amps that can run at 1 ohm .. for example .. the nine 1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Lol, but thats just the thing, I dont under stand wiring down and all that jazz. I was hoping to just kinda get it, and use it. BEcause I didnt wanna bother doing that, although if it makes it cheaper ill learn.

and is there anyway i could get a link for the Lanzar Optidrive 1400D?

Ahh yeah, thats a nice one. Although it says mono, doesnt that mean one sub? because im thinking of two. although, maybe just one, not sure yet. But is that enough for two, or is that for one?

and mind you want i want full potential.

No, mono means one channel.... if you're not an idiot you can hook up more than one sub per channel.

Thats actually a really nice amp.. Hmm.. So let me ask a quetsin real fast. That amp, even though mono, would work for two subs. Sorry for the stupidity.

yes, it's a class D mono amp and it will push your type Rs. Make sure you get the Dual 4ohm subs, so you can wire it parallel to 1 ohm. I would personally go for the hifonics 1606. Their about 260 shipped. I had a 1606 puishing two type Rs. Amp did get hot, i'm not gonna lie, but it never shut off on me.
