And yes the alpine f#1 status HU is insane. Yes the price is out of this world and not only that but i think in order to tune, you probably need to buy an h990.

fyi the drz was the top of the line in 2004 and the top of the line clarion 2005 doesn't compare to the drz. so whos knows what clarion will have in store. hey if you want an old school look, like without all the flashiness and lights look at an eclipse 8454. basically the same thing as the 8455 but without the flashy look.

I love Eclipse decks, but it is a scary day when the 8454 is referred to as having an "old school" look.

To me, my RF 8250, Eclipse ecd-415 have old school looks. My Eclipse 5341R had an old school look. Way back in the day, my alpine 7803S had an old school look.

There are VERY few "old school" looking decks out there nowadays...imo anyway.

well yea but i never said the 8454 was "old school." I'm sure you know this but there was a huge change in the looks from the 2004 to the 2005 eclipse decks. Orangeblast said he didn't like the look of the 2005 eclipse decks so i just referred him to a more simple looking HU (the 8454), one without all the lights and cameras many people claim that the 2005 line has.
