I currently have the ssa midbass @ 100watts. I've heard it needs globs of power to perform. Any recommendation? I need 4. Thanks guys
Having gone directly from evil's to my nvx mids I mentioned, without swapping a single thing out, i noticed a huge improvement in midbass response and just overall better sound all the way through. on 80 watts rms.Have 2 sets of ssa mids and tweets which I have not installed yet, I have been hearing the need lots of power, but, also, good midbass rely on good install and good power.
if u mean amp and don't wanta spend a ton try ppi 900.4..I currently have the ssa midbass @ 100watts. I've heard it needs globs of power to perform. Any recommendation? I need 4. Thanks guys
This is good to know, thanks for the info, unfortunately I can not install mine until next summer.Having gone directly from evil's to my nvx mids I mentioned, without swapping a single thing out, i noticed a huge improvement in midbass response and just overall better sound all the way through. on 80 watts rms.
I never did get to test them on higher power like some suggest, but even on the power I had they crackled on anything below 80hz on my active setup @24db slope
as low as your tweeters can play. They fall off fast after 3.5khz naturally so their upper midrange is weak. Hence good for just dedicated midbass IMO. Next time I get to play with CSCstang's mustang i need to record a video of the midbassI need to pick up a pair of PWX's just for kicks since they are so cheap. What would you cross the 6.5's at?
80hz at -24 db slope. Even with a steep slope they are slamming the 50-70hz notes in his car.Should have been more specific, was referring to the HPF.
