Better for SQ : Two Sealed Boxes, One Sealed Box?

Ok I want two subs. Not so much because of SPL levels. It's just that I can. I have plenty of room for them. But I care more about SQ. So if you were going two 12"s What would you do? Two Seperate Boxes. Or One bigger Box for both of them? And reasons for your choices.

Reason I'm asking is my co-worker/friend has a nice setup. He's running two Rockford punch subs, a jl and rockford amp. Sounds extremely clean without being overpowering. Now his subs are each in a seperate Qlogic(bleh)

I would not put them in one box with one chamber. You can do two seperate, but I would reccomend one box with dual chambers.

By the way, what subs/amp?

FYI : sealed boxes don't have tuning.

Just make sure they are the correct size.

x2 I would do 2 separate chambers anyways because in case one blows, the other doesn't **** in too much room and no only that but its a great way to brace that bish

and correct, seal boxes don't have "tuning"

and I have yet to decide on subs/amps. I'm planning on picking subs first and getting an amp according to what they need/handle.

Two different things but thats how I learned it back when I was young. Tuned as in the box was made for that particular sub. I know it's not technically right but I catch myself saying it alot.

And subs. I was thinking of dual Alpine X's or Type-S but really I havent researched subs.

I haven't really looked into subs as theres alot out there in my pricerange. Heard a eD setup at one location and liked it ALOT. Other than that I've heard L5's and L7's and the CVX's, as well as your typical bestbuy/fry's setup(Alpine/Infinity/Kicker/Punch/Jensen/Dual)
