Best Wiring Option

Got 2 SVC woofers that run 800 watts RMS.. my amp runs at 900 wats rms at 2 ohms.. so my question is is there any way to adjust the amp so that i can make suuuuuure the subs dont get blown?
... what resistance is the coil on each sub? That's kind of important.

I think anyway you wire it, 1600 - 900 = 700 RMS that you're lacking.

Unless your amp runs 900 x 2 @ 2, which is kinda crazy.

no each sub runs 400 watts rms.. combined they are 800 rms.. they are ultra linear 10" SVC 4 ohm..subs with a kenwood 1800 class d mono amp that runs 500 watts rms at 4 ohms or 900 watts rms at 2 ohms

so i shouldnt have to worry about blowing them.. i was just wonderin if there is a certain number i could set my gain down to make sure i dont blow them

Yea, You need to set your gains.

But I have been running the kenwood 850 watt @2 ohms into single vc's all summer and haven't blown the 2 powerbass 12" 250 rms subs I have. And I've tried pretty hard so I have a reason to stick some other ones I have in.
