Best way to remove windown tint/cheapest??

Yeah goo gone isnt really needed. Actually, my friend worked at a tint shop and hes only 15 so they didnt let him actually tint, his job was to remove the tint that was already on some cars. And he told me he just used WD-40 and a razor blade. Not a hard proccess.

Windex and razor is what i use....

Steamer for back glass.

A shop will usually charge the same to remove as they do to tint.

So I just spray the outside with Windex then scrap away?? It is only the front windows

windows are tinted on the inside....

The tint is on the INSIDE of the winows man...

Just roll down the window a bit, find the edge of the tint, and wet with WD-40 (or Windex, your choice), then SLOWLY start to dig the blade in between the tint and the glass. Continually spray where you are peeling the tint back, and soon enough you should be done

And please, dont forget the layer of glue....

You would be surprised of the # of people riding around with glue still on.

use a razor blade and some methylated spirits...or rum for that matter....just throw the spirits on and scrape away with the blade

u dont know any cops at all... cause all tjhey have to do is say it was removed..

i was doing an install for a CHP in cali. and my other installer was like hey can u write this off for me. he said yes if we installed something in his other car the same day. so he wote it off for my other installer and you just have to show that to thecourt or something

But the cop checked my record when I was pulled over to make sure it was my first warning.... say I did get a cop to just write it off, which I prob. could, what is going to happen the next time I get pulled over and the cop sees that I already was pulled over for tint.....

I just don't want to deal with it

I never removed them myself the tint places usually do it for anywhere from $25-$50 $25 if your getting tint with them $50 if your not.

Okay, I got the tint off the window in less than 5 minutes with my finger nail, I am having a HELL OF A TIME getting this glue off.....Windexing the glue obviously does nothing... what do people recommend for gettin the layer of glue off?
