Best way to remove windown tint/cheapest??

Got a ticket today for it and I can either pay the fine AND get 2 points on my record or take the tint off.... what is the best way to do this or am I better off goin to a shop? How much would a shop charge for this?

Yeah, only the front windows. The cop had NOTHING better to do then write up some car he saw at a stop light....crap like that pisses me off

my cousin got a ticket and he just paid the fine and there were no points. i never heard of getting points for tint

its easy to get a prescription to have it legally. i know a few people who have done that.

They must've just added the points thing recently. In the summer of 02, I had a Taurus and got a ticket for tint and there were no points, NOW the fools added the points thing.

just go get a perscription for it if no one will do it offer them like $50 or something... i have a perscription and every time ive been pulled over they look at it and let me go.

ive heard a many people say that and 2 buddies of mine went to try it(separate times) one actually has eye problems and they wouldnt allow it

Michigan has a point system for driving records. The more points you have, the higher your insurance will be. USUALLY you only get points for driving offenses like speeding and things like tint and parking tickets can be handled with a fine but Michigan had to find a way to take more money from my wallet and STILL NOT FIX THE ROADS!!

Ditto, I told my friend to do this based on my 1st experience in my old car with the tint. The eye doctor would not do it for him....my car CAME with the tint on the front windows but I like it so no one can see what I have (HU, Diamond comps, etc.)

i didnt get mine from an eye doctor normal family doc. can perscribe it for you, actually anyone authorized to perscribe medication can do it for you.
