sander or a dremel too.

Depends on where you are grounding, but just some basic sand paper works just fine in most cases.

Sometimes ill just use my drill with any kind of bit on it and just scrape it around were im going to ground with the drill on.. I know there are better ways but this does it really quick and good

Shouldn't be a big deal since you won't see it. If your that worried about it just paint over it with a color you like better

Sandpaper, wire brush, maybe even a Brillo pad... The possibilities are endless

Gasoline. Make sure you wash it into the sewer.
