Best way to clean out the gap in a motor? (PIC)

ok i got a motor and it has a bunch of metal shavings in it. whats the best way to get it out? i have tried a screw driver and vacuum but its not doing so well.... any ideas?

Take some tape....masking tape or clear tape work fine. Wind it tight sticky side out (like roling a piece of paper into a thin tube). If you roll it up thin enough you can slide it around in the gap and pull most everything out. You will probably need to do this 5 or 6 times normally. May take a while for you...that's a real mess.

 
Take a wet/dry vac,and duct tape a straw on it , and go to town!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

 
Metro Vac & Blow. It's a small vacuum with a 4hp motor and attachments that go as small as a straw. I use mine for auto detailing, but it works perfect with the small attachment for stuff like that.

 
that will just move it around. i tried wiping the motor off and it just moved the shavings around. im working on it little by little with the tape and it seems to work so far. just got alot of work to do
