Best tweeters?

[Maxxx 10+ year member]

looking for experienced opinions on the best tweeters that have 3" or smaller footprint, can do 2500Hz+ comfortably, and sound amazing. Will be active using Alpine 9887 and Sinfoni 60.2 amp. Suggestions? In particular, as much as possible, I want to avoid exaggerated brightness, "sibilance", high-end break-up, etc. (at least the portion that is caused by the tweeter itself).

tbi hdss is the best tweet i've ever heard, and it takes a low crossover like that np. got mine for 100 bucks, if you get it before the new year its still 150... after that though, 200 a pair.

Vifa xt25 ring radiators would fit the bill if you can get them on-axis.

Otherwise do some reading on diyma as there's a TON of tweeter info and tests/reviews...
