best system for SPL for a 76 chevy nova???

I got a 76 chevy nova im looking into getting either 1-2 15" or 1-3 12" or maybe 1-4 10" subs but im looking to spend under $1000 for the subs i was thinking 3 12"s because i already have a box but id also need a amp i want at lease a system that can put out 2.5K+ rms daily but idk witch subs would be louder can yall help me out with this??

and also check the stuff i have for sale and help me out to get a system back in my car

For that kind of $ get a single Fi 18" BTL and a Sundown 3000d, one sub one amp a big box and you should be wangin.

How much airspace do you have in cubic feet?

For $1k you got a lot of options, you will need more power.

i got about 5cu ft of trunk space but i can only have the box 13" high and 18" deep and 32" long so i think a 18" is WAY to big for my trunk

no offense, but why the hell would you screw up a car like that with an spl set-up?

because iv already spent about 2 1/2 grand getting the suspention good and about 2 grand fixing the engine its fast as it is with the 350sb in it and im planing on buying a 383 or a 396 later on or maybe just boring out my 350 a lil to make it faster but right now im not worryd about speed because i can beat pretty much everyone i come up against in my town except for a couple of muscle cars that are owned by older people that had time to work on them so im good with that i just want a really loud system i had 3 12s in there before running 1200rms daily and i still wanted more so i sold it and everything else in my car and started over it seems like no matter what im not gonna be happy with my set up i truly am addicted to bass haha

if your looking to do spl, best bet is a wall. I have had several nova' including a 76, and the trunk just isn't very accomodating. I had a pair of 12's in the trunk and it was great for street beating it could be heard from a couple of blocks away but inside it was less than stellar. Sub wall and dont look back.

its a ****ing nova man, for one you cant **** up a nova. i don't give a shit what you do to it, have vagrants piss on it ill still drive the mother ****er. and how is spl a bad set up, those things are solid steal a sq set up is just as worthless. its not like having this set up will kill his car. but to get back onto your point yes i think a 18 is a tight squeeze, id say get some L7 but that is just because I'm a fan of there subs. id just get two of them tho and i think you will be happy they ask for min of 2 cubes each and a max of 3.5 so i would really only get two, and kicker has a nice amp to go with them i think its a 1500 watt at one ohm load, so with two duel 4ohm dvc 12's you will give them there exact rating(however alot of people say they will take 1k rms all day long)personally id swing away from kicker amps tho, have one and i love it but it was 2nd hand(cant see paying sticker price for one) id look up sundown as mentioned up top(not the cheapest but great ****ing amps) or hifonics(what I'm using not the best but **** cheap). well i think that is about both ends of it and ether way you go you are looking at under 1000, but you must remember your yellow top and big three you will need after all that. oh ya and your new tweets and amp or you will hear nothing but bass!!

i make AZ look good imo personaly id never do 3 8s maybe like 10 8s but thats just not enough bass for me i had 3 10" L7s that i borrowed from my brother before on a 1500rms kicker amp and it stil wasnt enought for me imo.

i was thinking of doing 2 12" Solos because theres a metal wall when i took my back seat back rest out i was thinking of cutting the 2 holes right there and bracing the rest with more metal and then building it out into the trunk but idk it seems like alot of work for nothing because every1 can see what i have and theres no secrets in what i have.

but very true idk how anyone could **** up a nova iv seen them primered some with just bare metal and id still take any of them ( if i dint have mine already )

i have 5 insides on a 4 channel and by far its the loudest iv heared or anyone iv known has ever heard in tucson but imna be adding 4 tweets and atleast 2 more 6x9s in the rear on a nice 4 channel

A '76 Nova? I hope at least half of your budget is for sound deadening.

i got no idea what your talking about (dropping the rear set) if you mean the 6x9 spots then no im keeping that and imna be raising my rear so i still have a nice stance with all the stuff back there
