ok so im trying to build a pretty sick single cab system w.o cutting into my bed. im looking for two 8" or 10" maybe 3 of them depending on what my options are and the air space they require... i want to use a total of 1500-2000 CLEAN watts at 30 Hz i have 2 High output alts laying here that fit my truck supporting 2k isnt a problem.... subs have to be under 6" in depth even shorter if they vent out the magnet bottom,IDEAS PLEASE?

im not afraid to spend some cash but 300 for some alpine or jl shallow mounts its insane

SD-2 8

SD-2 10

SD-2 12

Sealed 0.25ft^3 0.5 ft^3 1.0 ft^3

Ported 0.5 ft^3 1.0 ft^3 2.0 ft^3

Displacement 0.07 ft^3 0.08 ft^3 0.10 ft^3

Depth 4.75" 4.75" 5.25"

Outside Diameter 8 3/8" 10 1/2" 12 5/8"

Cut-Out 7 3/8" 9 1/4" 11 1/8"

with that i have a lil over 2 cubes before displacements..... according two that with some poly fill i should be able to get two 10"s to 30HZ? whats the power handle like though says "500 with ease" whats the realistic number @ 30 hz?

i digging the SDs they would give me more cone area over the SA 8"s cause either way im using 1500-2000 watts so technically wouldnt the end result with more cone get louder and lower? just need to know if they can take 750+ RMS at 30 hz

Not sure of their realistic power handling, prolly 6-800 watts id assume. With the amount of power you are running id prolly run 3 10s.

isnt the SA 8v.2 their "cream of the crop" shallow mount?.....well shallowest mount haha
The SA-8 V2s are no where near shallow.(6.5" deep) The SD 10"s would be perfect in 2 cubes NET but you will be well under 2 cubes after displacements.

Look at DC subwoofers. They like small boxes. I personally would do a single DC LVL 4 12" 1.5 cubic foot NET.

BTW welcome. Where you at in Jacksonville?

every sub in that link was over 6" the SA line is right at 6" if im not mistaken and 6" is as deep as i can go... gimme a sec ill go find my box specs on another fourm and i live by regency mall

i would like 3SDs but i dont think i can do 3 SD 10" at 30 hz in 2 cubes of space tuning for me is very important i like bass for the LOWS not the meter

i had a green s10 blazer with a solo x 18 on a 2008 cerwin vega stroker 2000.1 so this is a HUGE shock to me haha

24" tall 50.5" wide as for depth top is 3.5" (at the top of the seats) 8.5" (at the bottom of the seats) are the MAX dimensions i will be going with.... is it possible to use 1/4 inch MDF with bracing? hahaha

id like to knock a few inches off the width to leave space on my back wall and floor to set a battery as well as mount amps so the 50.5" will probally be knocked down some these are max dimensions i have with all panels and carpet in place... hell i can get atleast another half in of depth from removing carpet and padding off the back wall but id rather build safe then sorry and do that later if i gotta

MDF ring to space the sub out for extra mounting depth?
as well as a grille over it to inbed it in the seat a little already thought about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but with anything 6" and over u run into slant issues cause this is behind seats in a single cab truck

i also want the subs either side by side or mounted in some kind of triangle behind the passenger seat so i can always just scoot the passenger seat an extra inch up in front of mine..
