Not sure what your budget is but I have a maelstrom right now and it's has clean out put but I'm not happy with the amount of output. Very vague question....... is it a TC sounds TC9 or is it a TC9 based subwoofer? TC9 is just the motor. You can definetly have that motor reconed into **** near any app you have tho.

Yeah almost any company that makes recones can recone a TC9 motor so you won't have a problem there.. I also noticed you build boxes have you thought about a sono tube for your ht?

Shii, i just tossed a Phoenix Gold RSDC 12" into a 3 cubed box ported at 20hz and it sounds pretty **** good to me, im only feeding it 100w. Dont want to rattle the walls, just add some depth.

I'm new to the whole ht thing. I'm set in my car till fall, now I need to work on somethin for the house. Not sure what I all need. But I think I'm gonna try and build and use a trinix tower kit from parts express, and a sub of my choice. Just not sure what to do about a stereo reciever and sub amp:crazy:

is this just something small for your room or like for a living room? If its just something small pick up a dayton on partsexpress for a lil over $100, put a few hundred watts on it and be done. For a large room, thats another story.

I would go with a Shiva-X if you are looking for a 12 or the maelstrom if you want to rip your house off of it's foundation.

Bro, a lot of stuff on the LFE track of modern movies (action movies, particularly) extends down that far.
