best sub for aq1200d

So I think skar, iconn, dc, or fi. Im surprised no one is pushing for dd woofers![/QUOTE]
Thats because with a budget of 300 or less you could barely get a 2500 series (assuming bought new from dealer). I had a 2510 and its a great sub but for under 300 its not even a top 5 contender. The 3500 and up series is where DD starts to impress me.

thanks, I was curious before hand when i had no limit but I don't compete in spl so I think i should find a product that can satisfy me for that price.. Quick new subject can an re s e x 12" wired to 1 ohm handle a full aq1200? if i set the gains with multimeter, clean signal, good ported box!

^^ if so what gauge wire should i use for my speaker wire? 8 gauge?

If you are looking to run the AQ at 1 ohm I would look at the FI Q in a good ported enclosure.

As for you earlier post, no subs do not take up much space. However, the total of port, bracing, 45s, and sub will be a good chunk of space.

I really like Fi audio, their products always look top notch. I would most likely be building my own box, so what type of bracing do you recommend? 45's meaning using a routing table to cut the corner of my port walls to 45 degree angles? I was planning on using one of the free enclosure designs on this site.

I think im limiting my choices to dc, sa, ssa (icon), or fi.. maybe dd if i can get some reasonable prices today..

those are the DD 8's ....I'm looking at doing a similar setup with a DD M1B Its about the same power as your amp...The box will be 3cu ft counting port...
I don't know what to choose.. I have to sell my re first. Then I can get an Fi q, which i've always wanted one haha or I can choose from icon, skar, dc, dd.. I'm waiting on thorshammer to write me back on the pricing for dc lvl 4. I have a dealer thats north of me that sells dd audio. Fi also has like 4 options and im not sure which are a necessity (if any). For example cooling, high qts, spider, P chamfer, and I heat ring

The free designed enclosures are fine, just make sure you find the the air space, tuning, and port area you need. 45s are normally cut on a table saw and slide into the 90 degree corners. You can check out some of the build logs(including mine) and see what we are talking about. Bracing would depend on the overall size of the enclosure and how it is constructed. Some may not need much or any in some situations. Others will need more. It could be 1" dowel or other various types of wood/metal. Also, if you plan on throwing down 1krms and playing low you may want to look into a double baffle to reduce flex as well.

alright, I called dc distributor in new york because I have no distributors in ohio and He priced the lvl 4 12" shipped at 295 and 15" 315$.. is there anyone on this site that sells dc? or dd?
